Winless Bucs gave 4-3 Packers fourth loss of the season

The Green Bay Packers fans were disappointed again. They made a good preparation for Brett Favre’s comeback but the Packers frustrated them with a 26-38 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. When they pulled themselves together and expected that their team would at least win the next game, which was against the last winless team of this season. However, they had to face another embarrassing loss.Write for Pay

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers welcomed their first victory of the season by beating the Packers 38-28. The victory also confirmed rookie Josh Freeman’s starting job in the Tampa Bay as it was his first start and he managed to end the league’s longest losing streak at 11 games.

Being the 17th pick in the draft and the third quarterback taken behind Matthew Stafford and Mark Sanchez, Freeman was playing with poise that belied his inexperience and passed for 205 yards and three touchdowns. As the third and youngest starting quarterback for the Bucs, he gave the struggling team plenty of reasons to be optimistic about the future.

As for the starting quarterback wearing Packers jersey, Aaron Rodgers, he threw for 266 yards and two touchdowns. Comparing to rookie Freeman, the league’s top-rated passer threw three interceptions but had one returned for a TD that put the game out of reach in the final minute. Not beyond expectation, Rodgers was sacked six times, amounting to 37 times in eight games. The frustrated quarterback may need a good rest to gain enough strength for next playing.

DE Gaines Adams was traded from Tampa Bay to Chicago

With four days before the NFL trade deadline, the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers traded underachieving defensive end Gaines Adams to the Chicago Bears, and the trade cost the Bears a second-round pick in the 2010 draft.

Adams, the fourth overall pick in the 2007 draft, had 13 1/2 sacks in two-plus seasons with the Bucs. Being expected by rookie coach Raheem Morris to post double-digit sacks this season, Adams has had 14 tackles and only one sack in five games this season by so far. Lackluster performances and failing to play up to expectations are supposed to the main reasons for his being traded.

The Buccaneers has planned to use Stylez G. White to fill the opening in the lineup in this Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers. Not sure whether the Bears will have Adams play his first game in Bears jersey against the Atlanta Falcons this Sunday.

Four more Bills players left field with injuries during Sunday game

So it was really not an easy victory. Butler hurt his right knee late in the first half when Buccaneers defensive lineman Stylez White rolled into back of his legs. He was cart off in his intact bills jersey the field and did not return. Third-year tackle Jonathan Scott then took over in Butler’s place. And Schouman and Nelson’s leaving made Derek Fine being the Bills only one tight end on the field. McKelvin was seen limping off the field after Carnell Williams scored on an 8-yard touchdown pass to cut Buffalo’s lead to 20-14 with 27 seconds left in the first half. But fortunately, the Bills finally made it to win.

According to the Bills Coach Dick Jauron, the status of the four injured players needed to be evaluated after having further tests. So it is still uncertain whether any one of the four would be able to play the Bills home game against the New Orleans Saints next weekend.
